A member asked:

I have small vertical lines on my nails, they are only <1 mm in height. what are these? hve 3 on my right index, 2 on my left index and middle finger.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Nail pigmentation : Linear pigmented nail streaks are quite common in more deeply pigmented patients. Nail streaks such as these are uniform, brown colored and have thin diameters. If a streak or steaks (lines) are changing size , color or shape , have the nails examined by a dermatologist.
