Usually unnecessary: Breast milk or formula is a balanced blend of fluid and nutrients that can supply babies nutritional needs for at least the first year. Supplemental water is usually unneeded but will not hurt in small amounts. As long as the kid wets every 6 hours extra fluids are unnecessary.
