Have it checked: It's hard to give you a fast diagnosis for a white bump on the eye. Possibilities include a pingueculum, pterygium, foreign body, calcification, malignancy, and other. An exam will help sort these out and appropriate therapy given. You can always try some artificial tears for comfort, but make an appointment.

Artificial tears: Sounds like a pinguecula. Try some preservative free artificial tears. If the bump increases in size, see your md.
