Constipation: It is unusual not to have a bm in five days. Is this a persistent problem? If so, you may have slow transit constipation. Therapy is indicated. Work-up may include several tests to determine the appropriate therapy. Consult a GI doc or colorectal surgeon.

X-ray: Twisted bowels usually act like an obstruction. This means no bowel movements and vomiting that is usually bilious or green in color. One would also have severe abdominal pain.
