Allopurinol is OK.: Allopurinol does not cause or aggravate bph. BPH may be treated with medications that help to shrink the prostate or eventually with surgery.

No: Allopurinol does not cause hypertrophy of prostrate . Benign hypertrophy of prostrate is commonly treated with medications , surgery is also done in certain cases.
