Don't know: Some acupuncturists claim cures for thyroid disorders.Acupuncture might help with side effects of thyroid medicines. Some report that acupuncture might be helpful in correcting hormonal imbalances, including thyroid disorders, as long as it is used in conjunction with convention hormones, not treating thyroid disorder can be dangerous to health of person.Should se regular physician as primary source.

From the standpoint: Of traditional chinese medicine, a thyroid problem is a symptom of a larger imbalance within the organism. Although acupuncture may be very beneficial, i would recommend that you continue to be followed by your endocrinologist or internist. Acupuncture can work hand in hand with standard treatments. In this situation, i believe that it would complement but not replace your standard tx.
