Impotence?: I think you mean impotence, as in, can't get an erection. If so, the answer is yes, this can be a side effect of that medication.

?Question: I am not sure if you mean "intimacy issues" such as erectile dysfunction? Diuril (chlorothiazide) has no major side effects as a diuretic of erectile dysfunction. Blood pressure alone is a risk factor for erectile dysfunction. Check with your dr. As other causes such as diabetes or vascular occlusive diseases can also play a role in ed. Best wishes.
