Many things: Many things can cause it. Capital tunnel, shoulder, neck, brain.... Problems in any of these areas can cause hand numbness. Shoulder nerve probs usually have pain, too.

Hand numbness: Numbness isolated to the hand is not typically produced by shoulder problems. As there can be many potential causes for hand numbness, you should be evaluated by an md.
