How can i tell if a lump in my neck is dangerous? it is not in the usual place for lymph nodes. it is closer to where my neck and shoulder meet.

Neck mass/lump: There are a lot of characteristics of concerning or worrisome lumps in the neck. You do have lymph nodes throughout your neck, including the area you are describing. If the lump is hard or rubbery and non-tender, this is concerning. If it seems stuck and not very mobile when you push on it, these are also concerning signs. Ultimately, any neck mass should be evaluated by a practitioner.
