Scabies: See your dermatologist. It should only take a maximum of 3 applications of medicine on days 1, 2 and 8 to cure scabies you have to put the medicine on every area of your entire body. The medicine will kill the scabies but they are still in the skin. They are dead in the skin and can still itch. It takes about 1 or 2 months for the skin to shed the organisms. You should not see any new areas dev.
