2 weeks: If treatment is correct and effective, two weeks are enough.

1-2 applications of: Elimite (permethrin) should kill the mites in1-2 appplications. However itching can persist from a reaction to the dead mites and it is advisable to treatthe symptoms with topical or rarely oral steroids. If symptoms persist beyond thecsecond application, oral medication such as Ivermectin may be necessary for resistant cases.
