Where did herpes originally come from?

Not known!: But there are many viruses in the herpes family. Zoster is chicken pox and shingles. Herpes 1 & 2 are sexually acquired by kissing and/or having vaginal/oral or anal sex. They have been arounf for 1000's of years!
