Back pain: It could be arising from the sacro-iliac joint or the hip joint. Si joint pain usually radiates up to the knee. A fall on the buttocks is a common precursor. Regular low impact exercises would help. Warm compresses, Ibuprofen or topical creams would help as well. A pain physician can properly evaluate and manage it with various modalities.
