Fatigue, and ...: In this condition, vitamin B12 is not absorbed and patients become B12 deficient. Results in anemia (low red cells), fatigue. If anemia is severe, patients could feel short-winded. B12 deficiency itself could also cause numbness, fatigue, and possibly neuropsychiatric symptoms. Treatment with vitamin B12 injections or sublingual treatment could reverse these symptoms.
