See your doctor: Most nose bleeds are not dangerous, but if they are frequent or severe, then you should get it evaluated. You can try oxymetazoline spray (afrin)(never more than 3 days in a row). Pinch the nose--the soft front area--for at least 10-15 minutes without looking. You can repeat this 2-3 times. Keep your head up, do not bend over, make sure your blood pressure is normal...

Severe nosebleed: For this problem, blood pressure and blood count should be checked, and any problems managed first. After this, a careful exam is essential. This exam can sometimes be accomplished by a skilled physician but often an ENT physician is consulted to look for other causes.
