Hives treatment: If you have it for less than 6 weeks without any associated lung or gastrointestinal symptoms, and is not caused by food or drug allergies, it's usually benign. You can try any otc anti histamine. If it lasts more than 6 weeks, it becomes chronic hives, you would need to see a doctor to do some lab works.
