Tinea pedis: When I have a patient presenting with long term resistant athletes foot or tina pedis, i biopsy the skin lesion and if positive start on oral anti fungal medication with prescription anti fungal medication that is bacteria static and cidal. I also dispense a steri shoe device to kill the fungus in all shoe gear and an anti fungal spray for sandals.
