Pulsatile Tinnitus: ... Is the fancy medical word for hearing your own blood. Think about it ... Your ear is a delicate, very sensitive organ that detects sound. The movement of your blood cells through blood vessels in your ear makes sound. It's actually surprising that more people don't experience this. Most of us "tune it out" and don't notice it. Why you do at certain times is a not dangerous mystery. Luck!
