What happens after you have overdosed? the doctors/nurses have to drain the persons blood flow & have them on a drip?

Depends: It really depends on what your overdose with. If it is pills and/or alcohol, generally your stomah will be pumped clean of anything left in it and iv's will be used to reverse or block the effect of the substance used. Filtering blood may be done if the patient's kidneys or liver have shut down in some cases but generally if the overdose was that bad, the patient is unlikely to survive.
