High blood flow?: The carotid artery and jugular vein run in close proximity to your inner ear. If you have a conductive hearing loss, the internal sounds can be amplified. If you have high flow due to condition that increase your blood volume or from more vigorous activity of your heart, the turbulence created can also make these sounds more conspicuous.
