Carpal tunnel: This is likely carpal tunnel syndrome, a pinched nerve in your wrist. See your doctor to confirm this. Typically it is managed conservatively with splints and analgesics. If it doesn't improve, then a surgical release of the nerve may be required.

See Someone: Numbness and tingling in the thumb and index finger can most commonly be from a pinched nerve in the neck or possibly at the wrist(carpal tunnel syndrome). I would see an orthopedic surgeon or a neurologist for an evaluation.

Poss carpal tunnel: Carpal tunnel is typically manifested by numbness and/or tingling in the thumb, index, long, and half of the ring finger. Although aching may be reported, numbness and pins/needles are more common. It can be reproduced by holding your wrist in the bent forward position for well over a minute or may be considered if you can elicit tingling with forcible tapping over the underside of the wrist.
