A member asked:

How to know if you're lactose intolerant? is it like diarrhea, nausea, vomiting?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lactose intolerance: Usually, abdominal pain, excessive gas and loose bowel movement associated with eating foods containing lactose. This does not happen immediately when you eat the lactose containing food or drink milk. The lactose, which the intestine can not absorb if you have lactose intolerance, needs to reach the colon (large bowel) to cause the symptoms.
