Are my diarrhea and nausea related to my dad having been in the icu?

GI Distress: The ICU is a breeding ground for bacteria viruses and fungi. It would not be unheard of for visitors to become ill from being exposed to the "atmosphere" of the icu. It is important to remember that if you are ill you could be exposing the patients to other infections while their immune system is impaired.
