A member asked:

Usually how long can yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) birth control say in your system after taking it for over a year?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not long: Once a person stops taking birth control pills, within several days they will start to initiate production of the signals in the brain to stimulate production of ovarian hormones and cysts ('eggs'). The length of time that you have taken the pill shouldn't cause increased duration of suppression of normal hormonal production.
