A member asked:

Had the gtt, glucose levels are within range; fasting insulin is 8 and postprandial is 144 mu/ml, what is wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not diagnostic: Seems like the post-prandial Insulin level is high, but it doesn't mean much without the concomitant blood sugars measured with it. Likewise, the fasting Insulin level isn't helpful without the associated blood sugar. Submitting the lab blood sugars that pair up with the Insulin levels might be more helpful.
