Follow post-op: Extractions can heal within a few days or weeks depending on the difficulty of the surgery, how many teeth were removed, whether infection was present or past and present oral habits. Usually a week though most people are pretty well healfed.

Extraction socket: It depends on which tooth and which jaw, but most tooth extraction sockets should be healed and closed by six weeks. If you're concerned, go back and see your dentist or oral surgeon.

That varies: Healing time is very dependent upon which tooth, difficulty of extraction, specific conditions related to problem, medical conditions and age. Simple extractions may close in 1-2 weeks, although it takes months for the bone to fully mature. Impacted teeth take longer to heal- generally 2-3 weeks and again months for the bone to fully fill in and mature.
