What can i do to soothe my swollen tonsils?

In the old days: We suggest gargling with warm salt water and possible mouthwash to reduce bacteria. I am not sure how effective this is. We dont do tonsillectomy anymore. I would go see an ENT specialist if your swollen tonsils persists.
