What exactly does getting a cavity filled feel like?

Very similar...: A cavity would replace the lost tooth structure and thus should reestablish the shape of the tooth before. The amalgam filling or the resin should give you almost the same filling as the original tooth. Most of the time, when done correctly, you would have a much better function and feel than having a hole or a cavity that may give you an uneasy, sensitive or even pain sensation.
