A member asked:

How can i treat tarantula bite?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Like a bad bee sting: Tarantulas do not release a medically significant amount of venom into a human, so the bite can be treated much the same as a bad bee sting or small superficial wound. Cleaning with soap and water, followed by ice or cool compresses usually will be enough. If you have signs of infection or severe allergic reaction, see a doctor immediately. An oral antihistamine may help with symptoms.
