First one needs to: Find out what the underlying issue is, pain may be due to a variety of things including arthritis tendinitis and synovitis or nerve issues. Weakness can be brought on by pain or can be a result of muscle or nerve issues but often people describe weakness when they're having joint pain or tendon problems because the pain keeps them from using their full strength but i'm tested the strength is actually there as much as i would like to give a good single answer because there are so many things i can give hand-in-hand it's important to get evaluated as a first step.
