Is it broke: there are two sides of wrist. ulnar side and radial side. YOu may he a broken bone. You need to have it looked at and and an x ray.

Radius and ulna: If you are referring to the most prominent bone on the side of the thumb, it is the head of the radius bone. If you refer to the most prominent bone on the side of the 5th finger, it is the head of the ulna bone. Your symptoms suggest changes due to progressive arthritis.
