Ankle first aid: As with any sprain, rest, ice, compression and elevation usually helps. Don't force yourself to participate in activities if it is hurting. Give it time to heal. And ace wrap or simple ankle brace gives needed support. Each day should bring more relief. If you happen to have an injury that is not improving with these measures then a visit to your doctor is indicated. Good luck.
