I was diagnosed a week and a half ago with bacterial pnemonia. what can i expect?

Improvement: At your age, unless you have a lot of other medical problems, your pneumonia should be improving significantly by now. Occasionally, patients will still feel short of breath with activity or generally a little weak for a week or so afterward. However, most younger patients with appropriately treated pneumonia and no underlying lung disease should be nearly back to normal in about 2 weeks.
