Depends: If you're actually having colonoscopy, an intravenous sedative is always used and it is not safe to drive the same day, even if you think you feel "okay". If you're truly just having proctosigmoidoscopy, it can done without sedation in which case you could drive. To be sure, call ahead and confirm if you will be receiving a sedative.
