Probably not: The anatomy of the tongue has many cracks and crevices. Unless there is pain, bleeding or some other abnormality other than look, you're probably just noticing something you've had for a while. However, the tongue heals very fast and new geography can develop at any time. Geographic tongue is an example of that. Have your dentist take a look next time you go in...Which should be this year!
