Not likely: Sometimes opks are difficult to interpret, but usually to catch the lh surge you will see a negative test one day, and a positive test the next. It will remain positive for a few days after ovulation as well. If you're having mid-cycle spotting, and your OPK turned negative the day after positive you probably had a false positive. I often have my patients come for day 21 blood draw.
