Do you need to ovulate to get a period? i had a d&c 6 weeks ago and i haven't had my period and opk's are all negative any help?

You don't need: To ovulate to get a period but most people do. Periods without ovulation are irregular and often heavy and uncomfortable . After a d;c you can be off for a while. Be patient

Not unusual: Yes you do, you can only have a spontaneous period (meaning without medicines) if you have ovulated. If you had a d;c 6 weeks ago it wouldn't be unusual to have not ovulated yet; i'd guess you still have detectable HCG (pregnancy hormone) in your system. You could have this checked; when it drops to zero you should start cycling again. Good luck!
