Growing pains: Would try Aspirin and see if that helps big continues pain would take to see a pediatric orthopedist. Most likely growing type pains but if prolonged would get x-rays and have a full evaluation.

Growth pains: It is very typical for growth pains to occur, especially in the night. However, they should check of osgood schlatter disease and other bone abnormalities if the pain continues. Please find a good pediatric orthopedist.
