A member asked:

My mom 54 years is on regular antihypertensive drugs but inspite of that there is rise in bp in the morning every day , what could be the reason ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Normal: BP normally is high in the am as your hormones surge to get you out of bed and awake. BP also sures during the daytime when you are stressed, in pain, nauseated, etc... The goals for BP control are generally to have the BP in the less than 140/90 range and even lower if you have other coexisting conditions.
