A member asked:

What is the difference between vermian hypoplasia and vermin atrophy and it signs?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depends: In hypoplasia, an organ never developed. In atrophy, it got smaller during the lifetime. The vermis may be hypoplastic in autism, atrophic in alcohol abuse. The terms may also be used for one another -- sloppy but a fact of life.
