No: Or should I say it's highly unlikely. Vitamin d is involved in calcium metabolism, whereas inflammatory arthritis in an immune phenomenon. Vitamin d has no direct correlation to the immune system.

No: Low vitamin d could not be misdiagnosed as inflammatory arthritis, but low vitamin d levels can be associated with autoimmune diseases such as lupus and some studies are suggesting that lower levels of vitamin d are associated with more severe disease.
