Thoughts...: Other than a sunburn, i'd think of a photodermatitis, which is an abnormal skin reaction to sunlight. Sometimes it's caused by taking medications (including creams or lotions), it can be inherited, or it can be precipitated by coming into contact with certain plants like celery or lime.
