Lifestyle changes: Exercise 30 minutes a day 5 days a week, minimize sugared beverages to 8 ounces daily or less, minimize fast food, eat out less (only 1-2 times a week). Avoid junk foods. Limit desserts to once a week. A low salt diet with 8-11 servings of fruits and vegetables a day helps lower blood pressure.
