Acid Reflux: A possible, and regardless of the outcome, beneficial solution to your problem may be a change in your dietary habits. Avoid carbonated beverages, coffee, refined carbohydrates, fast foods, etc., and start consuming more fiber rich, alkaline foods such as vegetables, legumes, lean meats, non-acidic fruits, nuts, olive oil, and plenty of water, also, visit your md.

Your issue: Sounds like acid reflux, or gastro esophageal reflux. Please consult w your pcp or a gastroenterologist for evaluation. Limit late meals, spicy foods, peppermint, wintergreen, coffee and sodas. Consider elevating your bed at the head board a few inches. Please see your md soon. Good luck!
