Nerve injury: As a surgeon, i repaired many transsected nerves. Without a surgical repair, there is little chance that the nerve will recover function. With a repair performed by an experienced microsurgeon, the odds are very good (depending on the extent and cause of trans-section) that there will be a significant recovery of function.
