Radiculopathy: In general a pinched nerve in the neck is a common description for a mechanical neuropathy causing radicular symptoms from compression in the neck spine. This usually causes symptoms in the arms rather than what you are describing. A pinched nerve that is truly in you neck is uncommon but could do what you are describing more easily but you don't give enough information to tell.
