Hard to say : The common mono germ can be released intermittently by an asymptomatic person who had it in the past.It passes in the saliva. The germ can live on surfaces outside the body for hours & be acquired on your fingers from a door knob or object & be transferred to your face & mouth.Incubation can be 30-50 days. You should become immune from that strain, but there is more than one germ that can cause mono.
