No, usually not: Many people have some eczema, and only a few need allergy testing. Those that get allergy testing may include people with known allergies to other things already, people who get the same rash or reaction each time they eat or touch a certain item, people with family members who have rashes associated with allergies, etc... Most people with eczema just treat the eczema, without allergy testing.
