How problematic can folliculitis in the pubic region become if not treated?

Can be painful: Untreated bacterial and fungal folliculitis can become a painful problem regardless of location. If this is related to shaving then you should stop until it has been treated and healed. I certainly would suggest you see a doctor to examine this problem.
