A member asked:

Once the womb starts to open, how many days it takes to miscarry?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Varies: When a pregnant patient starts bleeding and cramping within the first 10 weeks of pregnancy, it is a possible sign of miscarriage. Sometime the tissue passes all at once causing an active and sometimes heavy bleeding episode and sometimes it happens over a day or two. It is absolutely necessary to see your doctor if you think you are miscarrying. A beta HCG level and ultrasound will be ordered.
